Nate Condon is from Wausau, Wisconsin. He played two seasons for Fargo of the USHL during high school, including the franchise's inaugural season in 2008-09. He recorded 91 points in 141 games aas a member of the Force.

Condon joined the Minnesota Gophers for his freshman season in 2010-2011. Condon played in 25 of 26 games and had 17 points. Sixteen of those 17 points were recorded in WCHA games.He was third among freshmen in points and assists (9).
