Justin Bostrom was born on March 20, 1986. Bostrom joined the University of Minnesota Gophers men’s hockey team in 2005 for his freshman season.
Justin Bostrom's junior season in 2007-2008 was going well initially. Justin Bostrom played in the first 39 games, but was forced to sit out the last 6 games due to a broken wrist. Justin Bostrom had at least one goal in each game versus Ohio State during a mini-series, then did not score anything until four months later versus UMD Bulldogs. Justin Bostrom played mostly on the right wing of the team’s 4th line and earned his third letter.
In 2006-2007, Justin Bostrom appeared in 34 games his sophomore year with eight points on four goals. Bostrom was a key contributor on the Gopher’s fourth line. He missed nine games due to injury.
Justin Bostrom was a solid contributor in his freshman year, playing in 38 games and scoring 13 points on seven goals. The hard-working forward started his college career strong and finished with a +3 rating.
Justin Bostrom played a season with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL in 2004-05. In 54 career games with the Musketeers, Bostrom compiled 28 goals and 25 assists. He played prep hockey at Mounds View High School, where he was named AP and Pioneer Press all-state honorable mention. He led the team in scoring in 2003-04 with 59 points on 24 goals.
