At Sioux Falls, Jake Hansen was averaging about a point per game for the first half of the season. Jake Hansen won the Clark Cup during his junior year, a year in which he played for White Bear Lake up until the middle of the hockey season before transferring to Sioux Falls.
Jake Hansen was drafted in the 3rd round of the NHL draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Colmubus Blue Jackets picked Jake Hansen partially due to his goal scoring abilities and his "grittiness".
For Jake Hansen, the Gophers' 2009-10 season was full of action as he competed in 38 of the team's 39 games. Not only is Jake Hansen a sound athlete, but maintains his academics; Hansen was named to the WCHA All-Academic team.
