More Info
Jacob Cepis was born on December 21, 1987. He grew up in Parma, Ohio and managed to maintain a 3.67 GPA during his high school years while balancing schoolwork and serious hockey time.
At ages 14, 15, and 16, Jacob Cepis played for the U.S. Olympic festival team. In 2003-2004 Jacob Cepis joined the Cleveland Junior Barons, an NAHL team. During the 2004-2005 season, Jacob Cepis scored 22 goals and completed 27 assists.
The USHL was Jacob Cepis' next stop. He joined the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders for two seasons, starting in 2005 and ending in 2007. During that time, he racked up a total of 46 goals and 55 assists. He was made a first-team all USHL player in recognition of his strong, consistent performance over the years.
And then it was on to the NCAA. Bowling Green State University came calling, and Jacob Cepis signed on in 2007. He selected the Bowling Green State Falcons over Michigan, Princeton, Yale, and Western Michigan because the coach promised him lots of playing time. Jacob Celis played a lot in 2007-2008, scoring 15 goals. But by 2008-2009, he was no longer on the active roster and was no longer happy with the school or team. A transfer was in order, and he picked the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey team.
Will Jacob Cepis find a niche on the Minnesota Gophers hockey team? Though he is a smaller player, he is dynamic on the ice and should help the Golden Gophers with their play. To see what Jacob Celis accomplishes, purchase your Minnesota Gophers hockey tickets today!
