Ben Gordon was born on January 31, 1985 in International Falls, Minnesota. Gordon joined the Minnesota Gophers men’s hockey team in 2004 for his freshman season.

Ben Gordon is the Gophers fourth-leading returning scorer entering his senior year. Gordon will be one of six seniors skating for the Minnesota Gophers this season.

Ben Gordon played in all 42 games during his junior season. He was sixth on the team in scoring with 31 points on 12 goals. The 5-11 forward also tied for first on the team in penalty minutes with 58. Gordon collected six multi-point games during his junior campaign.

Ben Gordon appeared in 37 games for his sophomore season. He was named the team’s Dr. V. George Nagobads Unsung Hero for his underrated play that year. Gordon finished the year ranked sixth on his squad in scoring with 29 points on 12 goals. His sophomore year saw Gordon grow exponentially as a player, as he finished 20 points ahead of his scoring pace for his freshman year, when he only played 24 games and tallied nine assists. The Minnesota Gophers finished an amazing 17-1-1 when Gordon scored a point during his sophomore campaign.

Ben Gordon played for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL, where he had 13 goals and 25 assists in 68 career games. Gordon played prep hockey at International Falls High School where he led the state in scoring his senior season with 81 points on 38 goals in 25 games.

Ben Gordon is a communications studies major at the University of Minnesota. His hobbies include golfing, hunting and fishing. He is the son of Kevin and Kelly Gordon.
