Williams Arena sits in Stadium Village on the University of Minnesota Minneapolis campus. Minnesota Gopher men's and women's basketball teams play their games at Williams Arena. The arena opened in 1928, and until 1950 it was called the Minnesota Field House. In the 1950s, the arena was renovated and renamed after Dr. Henry L.
