TCF Bank Stadium is the new field, opening in the fall of 2010, for the Minnesota Golden Gophers college football team at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 

TCF Bank Stadium seating chart will seat 50,300 fans when TCF Bank Stadium initially opens, but TCF Bank Stadium will be able to support an expansion that would be able to seat up to 80,000 Gopher football fans. The total cost of TCF Bank Stadium will be $288.5 million. The University of Minnesota will pay 52 percent and the state of Minnesota will pay 48 percent of that cost. Funding from companies such as Best Buy, Dairy Queen and Target Corporation is also helping pay for the new TCF Bank Stadium.

 

The TCF Bank Stadium location is located near the same location as the former Memorial Stadium that the Minnesota Golden Gophers played in until 1982, which is on the northeast side of the Minneapolis campus.
