University of New Hampshire (UNH) is a public university in the University System of New Hampshire (USNH), United States. The main campus is in Durham, New Hampshire. The sixth college of the University, University of New Hampshire at Manchester, is located in Manchester. With over 15,000 students, UNH is the largest university in New Hampshire. The University is one of only nine land, sea and space grant institutions in the nation. Since July 1, 2007, Mark W. Huddleston has served as the university's 19th president.
While University of New Hampshire Wildcats Hockey team is beginning it's 5th year as a recognized Club sport. Their roots date back to the fall of 1994. Originally founded as the New Hampshire Ragin Moose, the team's first seven years were flooded with success. As a 100% student run organization, the Ragin Moose competed with local Club and Junior hockey programs before being awarded recognition by the University of New Hampshire. Since then, the team has continued its winning ways and in the process, achieved local and national prominence.
The 2007/08 season marks the teams 5th year as an official member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Prior to the start of the 2006/07 season, the University of New Hampshire Hockey team was honored in joining one of the premier Club Hockey Leagues in the country, the Super East Collegiate Hockey League.
