The Gophers hockey program had five selections in this years NHL Entry Draft. Nick Leddy and Jordan Schroeder were each chosen in the first round. Leddy was selected 16
th player overall by the Minnesota Wild and Schroeder was selected 22nd overall by Vancouver Canucks.
Nick Leddy is excited to be selected by his hometown Minnesota Wild team and Jordan Schroeder will join current Gophers junior Patrick White as a Vancouver Canucks first round pick.
Incoming Gopher hockey freshmen Zach Budish, Josh Birkholz and Seth Helgeson each went in the top four rounds as well giving the NHL plenty of Gopher Power.
